Important Details and Requirements of the Eskom Careers

Qualification(s): • National Diploma Procurement and Supply Chain Management

Experience: • 3 years Commercial Governance experience with specific focus on Supply Chain Risk, compliance, and training.
Skills and Competencies

Skills: • Procurement skills and in-depth understanding of procurement processes (sourcing, contracting, negotiation, etc.) and how these can be effectively applied to ensure an effective controls environment.
• Strong communication skills (orally and writing skills as well as towards non finance audience), cross group collaboration and interpersonal skills.
• Accuracy skills and strong indication to attending to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Analytical and research skills.

Knowledge: • Knowledge of the PFMA, SCM Framework, SCM Guide for the Accounting Officers, PPPFA Regulations, National Treasury Regulations, BBBEE Act and Kind Code IV.
• Sound understanding of SCM principles.
• Broad knowledge of Eskom’s internal commercial policies, procedures and guidelines and external government policies.

Attributes: • Demonstrated experience in the design, implementation and monitoring of internal control, governance and compliance programs.
• Ability to influence negotiations, resolve conflicts, establishes credibility, trust and partnership at all levels of the organisation.
